Sweet, natural and eco friendly bamboo.  Much has been made of it because of it's versatility and it's vaunted tensile strength which is greater than that of steel.  Alas, not all bamboo are created equal.  This rack / shoe rack is made of super strong square bamboo that is pretty much solid in the inside, very similiar to that of rattan and not like the hollow bamboo/laminated bamboo that is prevalent online today.  As such, this rack will not split like most of the bamboo out there , nor will it become undone, as it is not a laminate that is prone to splitting apart due to the inevitable breakdown of the mastick that is holding the bamboo together.   Assembly is matching the number parts so that is a breeze and the tool is included for assembly.
